Raquel Reis

Hi everyone, Raquel here! I was born and raised in the South of Portugal. I moved to Lisbon five years ago to pursue my BA in Translation, specialising in English and French. Since then, I completed my undergraduate studies and am now in the final year of my MSc in Business. 

I grew up bilingual in Portuguese and English, and later studied Spanish and French formally. Outside of school, I’ve always been deeply curious and passionate about learning: whether it’s linguistics, business or even physics. This curiosity led me to explore Portuguese Sign Language, and these days I’m diving into Mandarin Chinese while also exploring CS and programming on the side.

I began teaching over four years ago on iTalki. It started as a part-time, but a year after it inspired me to create my own business to help learners around the world on their language journey.

What drives me the most to continue not only teaching, but also learning is seeing my students grow, reach their goals and develop confidence!
